Network Engineer |
Work location is in the Washington DC Metro area. |
- Anti-Virus monitoring and patching, manages data backups of critical servers/information, security and vulnerability scans, mobile data implementation and support (Blackberry, Treo, Good, Windows Mobile, etc.), mail security and spam blocking, new network server installations, operating system patching with utilities/applications such as SMS/MSUS/Patch Manager, server O/S upgrades and installations, SQL Server support, Exchange mail management, file/print server management and patching, Citrix support, network monitoring, web server management, OWA support, connectivity support, operations and maintenance, system/network performance, etc.
- Performing file server backups
- Installing, supporting, configuring and troubleshooting Exchange Server and
Active Directory
- Installing, supporting, configuring and troubleshooting Exchange Server and
Active Directory
- Performs file server and workstation scans to check for security and software
updates

This Network Engineer position requires at least five years experience performing LAN service and be a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE). In addition, you should have the following:
- At least two years of active directory installation, configuration and troubleshooting
experience
- At least five years of hardware/software experience, including server and PC
support with operating systems such as Windows 2000 and XP Professional
Other required experience shall include but is not limited to:
- Providing system setup, testing, and configuring of Windows 2000 and 2003
servers
- A significant percentage of this experience must include workstation and file server
network troubleshooting in an Ethernet environment
